Blacksmithing 101 covers basic blacksmithing principals like forging safely, managing a coal fire and basic skill. You will also go home with three projects including a pair of blacksmith’s tongs that you can use for future projects. Look HERE for session start dates and registration info.
Level I is a series of 12 projects that guide you through 15 different skills. Some of the skills include, Scrolling, tapering, forge-welding, and heat treating. We currently have two (2) monthly classes that operate throughout the year.
*Prerequisite: completion of Blacksmithing 101
In Level 2, we get more technical with more intermediate to advanced scrollwork and a focus on tooling and collaring for the level 2 Grille certification.
*Prerequisite: completion of Level I
Dave Carroll teaches our advanced blacksmithing techniques. He hosts a monthly Level III grille workshop where he covers techniques and tooling required to complete the CBA Level 3 grille to spec.
*Prerequisite: completion of Level II
This two session course is available for children age 10+ accompanied by an adult 18+. Classes take place the last two Sundays of the month.

We feature several elective classes throughout the year that teach a project outside the CBA curriculum. New electives are announced in our newsletter.

Open forge allows students to come and complete their projects outside of the class.
